A virtual version of our Sunflower Memory Walk is being held this summer – giving you the chance to remember a loved one in your own, unique way.

Social distancing guidelines prevent us from welcoming everyone to Broadlands in Romsey as we would usually do, so this year we are giving you the chance to pick your own route, while still supporting Mountbatten Hampshire.

Our virtual alternative is not just restricted to a walk – you can choose to complete your distance by walking, running or cycling – or any other type of exercise you like!

The regular routes around Broadlands cover 2.5km, 5km or 10km but you can choose any distance.

We want you to take a trip down memory lane, making your virtual Sunflower Memory Walk completely personal to you and your loved one.

Why not choose a place that holds special memories, or a route which was a favourite in the past?

The sponsorship target for this event is £75 per adult, though any amount we receive is appreciated.

Everyone who registers will receive a special guide, featuring ideas for walks and fundraising tips, plus a t.shirt, medal and a memory marker, which can be placed anywhere to remember a loved one.

The Sunflower Memory Walk runs between early August and 6 September and you can complete your chosen distance in one day or over a longer period during this time.

We are also introducing a series of activities to do this summer, aimed at individuals and families, including designing this year's walk medal.
