An original performance will be staged at Mountbatten, by young people from leading performing and creative arts centre, The BRIT School. You are invited to come and watch their free show!

Our charity will host a group of creative teenagers as they get to know patients, Mountbatten staff and volunteers.

Using what they have learned at daily interactive workshops, the performing arts students will stage a unique production, turning life stories into theatre, music and dance.

Watch for free (and enjoy wine and canapes!) at Mountbatten’s Hazel Centre in Botley Road, Southampton, SO30 3JB, between 6.30pm and 8pm, on Wednesday, July 17.

A welcome sign with flowers

Mountbatten CEO, Nigel Hartley, said: “This is the third year we have partnered with The BRIT School and it is always a pleasure to host such creative young people.

“While they are with us, the students discover what a remarkable place Mountbatten is, by meeting patients, families, staff and volunteers. We are always delighted to see the impact the experience has had on them.

“We hope you will be able to join us on the night, to see their unique performance.”

Croydon-based The BRIT School provides a unique education for over 1,400 pupils aged between 14 and 19, in music, film, digital design, visual arts, production and performing arts.

Two-thirds publicly funded, Mountbatten supports over 1,600 Hampshire residents on any one day.
