News, reports, events News Support the Spinnaker Tower abseil for Mountbatten Hampshire THIS WEEKEND Supporters from all walks of life will be among those to take on the Portsmouth Spinnaker Tower abseil THIS Saturday, 18 July, in aid of Mountbatten Hampshire. This is the first time the charity has challenged its fundraisers in this way and it’s set to reach new heights, over Gunwharf Quays. Climbing to the top of one of the south-coast’s most iconic buildings, with stunning views of the Isle of Wight and the English Channel, the fundraisers will descend from a height equivalent to around five double-decker busses. They are raising money, through sponsorship, for end-of-life care, delivered by Mountbatten Hampshire. The rest of our care is delivered on the inpatient unit and via day services and outpatients, at the Frances Sheldon Centre, in West End, Southampton. Community fundraiser, Ella Saggers said: “The only way is down at this incredible challenge and we can’t wait to support our fundraisers, on Saturday, 18 July. Fabulous views await and we hope they aren’t too nervous to enjoy them. Their bravery is helping to change lives and deaths in Southampton and across large parts of Hampshire.” Manage Cookie Preferences
