Sixteen years of support by Hamble Club has raised an amazing £42,679.32 for your local hospice, Mountbatten Hampshire.

The club, which first started raising money for Mountbatten Hampshire in 2010, has become well-known for its lively soul and Motown nights.

Its most recent event was held at Easter.

Guests enjoyed a party night at the venue, in Beaulieu Road, Hamble-le-Rice, with DJ Paul Mico (right) on the decks, and together they raised £1,560.94.

Paul, together with the club's Colin Williams (right), who leads on fundraising activities, met with Ella Saggers, Mountbatten Hampshire community fundraiser, to celebrate their 16 years of support.

Ella said: “Hamble Club's commitment has been truly incredible. Their fundraising and events to bring our community together has raised an amazing amount and it's supported 24/7 end-of-life care for people across Southampton and large parts of Hampshire dealing with death, dying and bereavement, and their families. We’re so grateful to Colin, Paul and everyone involved!

"If you're inspired by them, and think your club, group or organisation could follow suit, get in touch for a chat. Mountbatten Hampshire's fundraising team would love to hear from you."
