At 5 miles, this route is perfect for all the family. Although this is the shortest available route, it still packs in so much of our Hampshire countryside.

Mottisfont is a small village north of Romsey, home to the National Trust 18th Century Mottisfont Abbey.

This route passes the church of St Andrew and crosses the River Dun just before it joins the Test. Lanes and tracks skirt around the village of Awbridge before entering Squabb Wood, reminiscent of the New Forest. Emerging from the woodland, you will be greeted by the 10th Century Romsey Abbey across the marshland. Then go past Sadlers Mill and its salmon leap and down into Romsey's Memorial Park, where there'll be a warm finish-line welcome and a medal!
