Andrew Neill’s career has been spent in investment banking within the City of London. For the past 27 years, he has specialised in the finance of long-term infrastructure, as an advisor, fund-raiser or lender. This has included hospital and school buildings; power generation and transmission systems; transport projects and digital infrastructures such as data centres and fibre networks. Now semi-retired, he is currently the part-time funding advisor to an Electric Vehicle charging network business.

He has been a regular visitor to the Isle of Wight since childhood, with a home in Seaview. He is a keen sailor.

His not-for-profit experience includes:

• Vice-Commodore of Sea View Yacht Club and chairman of its Finance Committee (1999-2002)
• Non-executive membership of the Finance and Audit Committees of the United Medical & Dental Schools of Guys and St. Thomas’s Hospitals (1997/98). Following their merger with King’s College, London, he transferred to the King’s College Audit Committee for a further nine years to 2008.
• Trustee and Treasurer of the Cutty Sark Trust (2010-2015) overseeing the £50mn restoration and reopening of the classic clipper ship at Greenwich.
• Member of the Court of Assistants (ongoing since 2007) and Master of the Worshipful Company of Turners (2016/17), a London Livery company that continues to support the craft of woodturning throughout the UK. Trustee of the Turners Charitable Trust (2015-2018). Current Chair of the Membership Committee and ex-Chair of the Accommodation and Investments sub-Committees.
