This Session is for Band 7 staff and above

We would ask that your organisation send between 6 - 12 staff per session

Presentation, discussion, practical sessions

Learning outcomes
At the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:

  • Develop skills to enable confidence to undertake end of life  conversations with residents/relatives/carers and strategies to manage these.
  • Develop a better understanding around the mental capacity act and it’s role with advanced decision making
  • Explore the legality around resuscitation decisions and applying this to clinical practice
  • Have an opportunity to practice discussions around resuscitation within a safe and supportive environment
  • By the end of the course you will need to complete a competency document and following this you will be able to sign off DNACPR forms

Time: Half-Day

Cost: £150 for up to 6 people, plus £25 per each additional person (up to a maximum of 12 attendees).
