Our top tips to fundraise

1. Set up a JustGiving Page

The easiest way to start your online fundraising is by setting up a JustGiving page. It is a great way to share your story about why you are fundraising for Mountbatten Hampshire, and you can update your page with your progress as you get closer to your goal.

You could share these facts on your page to show the potential impact of people's donations:

  • £25 could help fund one hour of complementary therapy for our patients
  • £50 could help fund a month’s support materials for bereavement sessions
  • £100 could help fund our patient & visitor transport service for one day

2. Tell your personal story

Why do you care about Mountbatten Hampshire? Why should your friends, colleagues, employer and the local community sponsor you? Use the 'story' section on your JustGiving page to inspire your supporters. Check out other fundraisers' pages for inspiration!

3. Share your story

Sharing on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and WhatsApp will help you raise even more! Don't be afraid to share your updates - people want to hear about the good things you are doing.

4. Use photos

Fundraisers with photos on their page raise 14% more! If you're raising funds in memory of someone special, adding a photo of them will inspire others to dig deep.

5. Choose a fundraising target

Pages with a target raise 46% more! Add a pledge to your target to motivate people to help you reach your goal.

6. Don't forget about email

Not everyone is on social media, so send an email with the link to your page and a short message appealing for support to your contacts. Send the link to those likely to sponsor you with a larger amount first - their gift at the top of your page might encourage others to be just as generous.

Good luck!
