Methods: Presentation, interactive discussion and small group work

Learning outcomes: Learners will be able to:

  • Explain the principles of palliative and end of life care
  • Describe how to recognise dying and identify the priorities of care in the last days of life
  • Describe the principles of effective communication at end of life
  • Develop skills in Advanced Care Planning documentation and communication.
